The leader of the State of Law coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, confirmed today, Saturday, that the dollar crisis is linked to violations, including smuggling and manipulation by some banks and merchants, while he considered that the only solution to the crisis is an understanding with the American side.
Al-Maliki said in televised statements followed by "Baghdad Today", that "America uses the dollar as a weapon and is monitoring the situation in Iraq," noting that "there are irregularities in some Iraqi merchants' remittances, and this affects the Iraqis stock of dollars.”
He pointed out that "there is no solution to the dollar crisis except by understanding with the American side," stressing that "the dollar crisis is linked to some violations, including smuggling and manipulation by some banks and merchants."
He stressed that "the Sudanese government must be subject to evaluation after the end of the first 100 days."
