Shafaq News/ The Iraqi President, Abd al-Latif Rashid stressed today, Monday, the need to implement the provisions of the Sinjar Agreement, to expedite the construction of adequate housing, and to close the file of the displaced.
A statement by the Presidency of the Republic, received by Shafaq News agency, said, "Today, Monday, the President of the Republic, Abd al-Latif Jamal Rashid, received the Deputy Special Representative of the United Nations in Iraq and the Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs, Mr. Ghulam Muhammad Ishaq, and a delegation of the United Nations Human Settlements Program.

Rashid stressed the importance of the United Nations organizations carrying out the work that falls upon them, pointing out that "we are waiting for more efforts and work for these international organizations."
Rashid noted that the role of the UN organization is still modest in supporting and encouraging the return of the displaced to their areas, stressing the need to implement the provisions of the Sinjar Agreement due to their importance, and to expedite the construction of adequate housing and close the file of the displaced.
The President stressed that our priorities lie in resolving the file of the displaced, returning them to their residential areas, and improving their tragic living and housing conditions, as health and food services are poor, pointing out that this requires vigorous and rapid efforts from all organizations to improve their situation.
Rashid expressed the Presidency's readiness to cooperate and support the return of the displaced to their residential areas.
