Today, Wednesday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani chaired a meeting devoted to discussing the dry canal project, while he issued a number of directives.
Al-Sudani's media office said in a statement received by (Baghdad Today) that "the latter chaired a meeting dedicated to discussing the progress of work on the dry canal project, in the presence of the Minister of Transport and the consulting company in charge of preparing the project's designs."
Al-Sudani stressed, according to the statement, that "this project falls within the strategic projects that the government focuses on," directing "the need to expedite its implementation and shorten the stages, in order to achieve revenues and qualitative differences that reflect positively on the Iraqi economy."
