    Baghdad today-Baghdad
Al-Monitor International Network revealed today, Wednesday, the "actual" reasons behind replacing the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Mustafa Ghaleb, on the eve of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudanese travel to Washington, saying that "the exemption is the first step to addressing the dollar crisis with Washington.

The network said, through its report, which was translated by (Baghdad Today), that "tackling the dollar crisis in Iraq goes through two stages, which required replacing the governor of the Central Bank with a decision from Al-Sudani, through which he hopes that the two stages will be fully achieved," noting that "the former governor of the bank Central, was not able to implement these solutions.
The proposed solutions, according to the network, came through statements by the Secretary-General of the Dawa Party, Nuri al-Maliki, who described the new central bank governor, Ali Al-Alaq, as “close to him,” explaining that “ Iraq first needs to fully control the flow of the dollar and its circulation inside and outside the country through new procedures.” ".
As for the second stage, the network confirmed that it includes "discussing with the United States government about reducing restrictions and facilitating mechanisms for transferring dollars to Iraqi banks," which Al-Maliki emphasized the importance of, according to the report.
The network also said that "accusations were issued by the leader of the Badr Organization, Hadi al-Amiri, and a member of Parliament for the State of Law, Aqil al-Fatlawi, against the United States, stressing that it is trying to use the dollar as a "means of political pressure" on the Sudanese government, which was denied by the US ambassador to Baghdad, Elena Romanovsky. She said, according to the network, "The measures aim to launder money and corruption," as she put it.
