Today, Wednesday, the State of Law Coalition praised the Federal Court's decision regarding the cancellation of export decisions from the Council of Ministers regarding sending financial shares to the Kurdistan region, and while considering the judiciary the "official sponsor" of the political process, it called on the government to comply with the decisions of the judiciary.
“The judiciary has become the official and patriarchal sponsor of the political process, as it has been able to control the political street and be the real arbiter in many files,” said Haider al-Lami, a leader in the coalition.
He added, "The Federal Court's decision, which stipulates the cancellation of the decisions issued by the Council of Ministers regarding sending the shares of the Kurdistan region, has no income in the negotiations between Baghdad and Erbil, given that the judiciary has a law to apply," noting that "the Kurdistan region, when it fulfills all its promises, there will be money sent." for them".
The leader of Maliki's coalition explained, "The Minister of Finance, about a month ago, prevented sending these funds to the Kurdistan region and waited for there to be a budget," pointing out that "the Federal Court is the stronghold that we resort to, and everyone must rally around it."
And Al-Lami stated: “Any government, and whatever party it was affiliated with, must comply with the judiciary and implement its decisions.”
Earlier in the day, the Federal Supreme Court ruled that decisions issued by the Council of Ministers regarding sending financial shares to the Kurdistan region were not valid.
