[size=45]The electronic platforms were filled with calls by activists calling for a boycott of Swedish products and the expulsion of the Swedish ambassador from Islamic countries, using a number of hashtags that topped Twitter within hours, such as “boycott Sweden”, “burning the Qur’an in Sweden”, “boycott Swedish products”, and “ Millions of people are angry at the burning of the Qur’an.[/size]

In response to the incident of burning the Qur’an in Sweden, Al-Azhar Al-Sharif issued an official statement yesterday, Tuesday, calling on the Arab and Islamic peoples to boycott all Dutch and Swedish products of all kinds, and to take a strong and unified stand in support of the Book of God and our Holy Qur’an. The holy book of Muslims, and an appropriate response to the governments of these two countries in their abuse of one and a half billion Muslims, and their persistence in protecting despicable and barbaric crimes under the banner of “inhumane and immoral they call it freedom of expression.” God and the guidance of heaven.[/size]
