    [size=45]Yesterday, Wednesday, the Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, confirmed the implementation of the plans drawn up to manage the security file for three governorates.[/size]
    [size=45]The ministry said, in a statement received by (Al-Mada), that “the Minister of Interior, Abd al-Amir al-Shammari, chaired today (yesterday) an intensive workshop in the Directorate of Rehabilitation and Training, to discuss the needs and requirements for the success of the tasks of the Ministry of Interior after receiving the security file in the governorates of Muthanna, Diwaniyah and Wasit, in the presence of the undersecretaries of the ministry.” And the police chiefs of these governorates and a number of officers.[/size]
    [size=45]The minister stressed, “the need to work according to the plans drawn up in managing the security file in these governorates,” stressing “the work of command and control, the operations center, and addressing responsibility with an integrated plan through a distinguished intelligence effort on the ground and working to collect information and follow up those wanted for the judiciary and arrest them.”[/size]
    [size=45]He affirmed "his support for the police chiefs of these governorates and assigning their work," explaining that "the Ministry of Interior is able to provide a safe and appropriate environment for citizens."[/size]
    [size=45]And he stressed that "the traffic man must work to smooth the street movement and enhance the prestige of the law," directing "the Muthanna Police Command to intensify the intelligence effort to eliminate drug dealers and drug users in this province."[/size]
    [size=45]In addition, another statement by the ministry stated that “Lashmari met yesterday, at the ministry’s headquarters, the UNESCO ambassador to Iraq, Paolo Fontani, and the official in charge of the freedom of expression sector, Diaa Sobhi,” noting that “the minister welcomed at the beginning of the meeting his guest and his accompanying delegation.”[/size]
    [size=45]He added that "a number of projects of common interest, which UNESCO is implementing in Iraq in partnership with the Ministry of Interior and the judiciary, were discussed, foremost of which is the organization of the Internet and information sector to ensure safe use, combating digital crimes, improving freedom of expression and digital and information literacy," noting that "the two sides They agreed to hold an expanded meeting with the Directorate of Training and the Directorate of Communications and Information Systems, as well as direct coordination with the Department of Relations and Information to implement a number of activities and programs in this regard.[/size]
    [size=45]Al-Shammari urged UNESCO "to proceed with its projects to protect journalists and their safety and promote freedom of expression to improve mutual understanding between security men and journalists."[/size]
    [size=45]For his part, the organization's ambassador affirmed that UNESCO will continue to support the efforts of the Ministry of Interior to enhance its projects and programmes.[/size]
    [size=45]On a related note, a statement from the Border Guard Command stated, "In continuation of the efforts to secure the Iraqi borders, and based on accurate intelligence information, the 3rd Brigade, the 10th Brigade, was able to arrest (33) foreign infiltrators who tried to cross the border illegally," noting that "the second regiment In the 20th Brigade, 30 foreigners were also arrested who were trying to cross the border.[/size]
