The agency stated that "the achievement of Qatar's entry into the Iraqi energy market through partnership with France's Total Energy will represent an important victory for Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudanese and his new government," stressing that "Qatar's entry will reduce Iraq's dependence on foreign companies and encourage them to stay in Iraq after a wave of exodus from companies he was subjected to during the past years after the withdrawal of Exxon Mobil, Shell and British Petroleum from the country or significantly reducing their shares inside it .
And she indicated that "the project, which has been subject to delay since its signing in 2021, and which also caused political disputes last year as a result of not disclosing its full details compared to its high cost, will be activated again during a visit." That it is hoped that the Sudanese will make today, Thursday, to Paris, according to a statement by the French presidential palace. ".
The agency stated that "Qatar Energy and France's Total Energy did not answer Reuters' questions about information related to the partnership in the Iraqi "huge" project. A stake in Iraq's Total Energy projects," according to his description.
