    Today, Thursday, the Islamic Supreme Council, which is part of the coordination framework, revealed that the decision to dismiss the governor of the Central Bank of Iraq was made in agreement between Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani and the leaders of the framework.
    The spokesman for the council, Ali al-Daffi, told (Baghdad Today) that "Al-Sudani's move to dismiss the governor of the Central Bank of Iraq from his post is a bold step and confirms Al-Sudani's seriousness in finding solutions and he has a vision in addressing economic problems,” adding that “Al-Sudanese touched on fundamental and important issues, It is the central bank and the governor of the bank, who is primarily responsible for monetary policy and is the one who adopts the treatments and controls the market and the overall management of the financial operation.
    He stressed that "the dismissal of the governor of the Central Bank of Iraq was in agreement with the coordination framework," noting that "the aim of his dismissal is to reset the market and move to a state of stability in the local financial market. "
    Al-Dhafi said, "All forces in the coordination framework believe that the Sudanese possess courage and patriotism, and must be supported in the crisis and in achieving his ministerial approach."
    Earlier, Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani issued a decision to relieve the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Mustafa Ghaleb Makhaif, from his post, while directing the assignment of Ali Mohsen Al-Alaq to manage the bank by proxy.
    A government source told the official agency and its follow-up (Baghdad Today), "Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani decided to relieve Central Bank Governor Mustafa Ghaleb Makhaif of his post, at his request."
    The source added, "The Prime Minister assigned Ali Mohsen Al-Alaq to run the Central Bank by proxy."
    Yesterday, Wednesday, Baghdad governorate witnessed the influx of large numbers of citizens from various governorates to the capital, in protest against the high exchange rate of the dollar against the Iraqi dinar.
