    The Minister of Justice, Dr. Khaled Shawani, made a surprise night visit to a number of correctional departments (Kadhimiya for heavy sentences, women's prisons, and justice).
    He briefed the Minister of Justice on the conditions of the correctional departments, in terms of implementing the decisions and measures taken by the Ministry to improve the conditions of prisons.
    The Minister of Justice listened to the inmates regarding their humanitarian conditions.
    The Minister of Justice, Dr. Khaled Shawani, stressed the protection of the rights of inmates in accordance with international human rights standards and the ministerial curriculum within the government program.
