    Today, Sunday, the Federal Integrity Commission announced the implementation of (7) seizures of illegal exchange transactions and excessive maintenance work in Najaf Governorate, indicating that the total sums spent in it amounted to about one and a quarter billion dinars.


    A statement of the authority, received by Alsumaria News, that stated "the cadres of the Najaf Investigation Office of the Investigation Department carried out (5) separate seizure operations at the international airport in the province, indicating that the procurement committees at the airport organized sham purchased transactions and disbursed an amount of (566,867) US dollars.In violation of the law, indicating that, through (4) separate operations, the exchange priorities for those transactions that led to a waste of public money were seized.






    He added, "The office staff monitored the purchase of vacuum cleaners by airport employees for a very large and exaggerated amount, pointing out that the cost of the illegal purchase amounted to $196,900."

    And the statement confirmed, “The staff that moved to the Directorate of Education in the governorate seized the spending priorities for the maintenance of two schools that were carried out by them; against the background of revealing an exaggeration in the maintenance process, noting that the Implementation Committee is a secretariat in the directorate that spent an amount of (116,828,000) million dinars.”


    And the authority had previously announced in the past days that it had carried out seizures of fictitious purchase transactions at Najaf airport, and that the purchase committee at the airport had disbursed an amount of (504,976) US dollars, in violation of the law.
