Baghdad / Obelisk: A government source lied, on Sunday, the information published by the media, about the costs of the advisers, who were appointed by Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani, and about the tasks that they will occupy.
The source told Al-Masalla, that the number of advisors appointed in the Council of Ministers is five people with a salary of 4 million dinars, stressing that the rest of the 13 advisors are either retired or an employee who continues to serve, meaning that they do not charge the state treasury with anything.
He added that the number of advisers to the government of Mustafa Al-Kazemi, according to the salary list, was 62.
The source told Al-Masalla that the circulating news and tweets lack accurate information, and are based on prior positions of the government, in order to distort its regulatory procedures and reform program.
The source emphasized that most of the appointed consultants exercise their original duties and functions, without granting additional privileges, salaries or grants, and that their consultancies that can be benefited from are alongside their original jobs, and not a new job for which they receive salaries and privileges.
The criticisms leveled at the appointment of advisers to the Sudanese.
The source said that implementing the law regulating the work of consultants issued in 2017 is a priority for the government.
Representative Basem Khashan had flooded social media with a series of tweets and blogs against appointing advisers in the Prime Minister's Office.
The law determines the number of advisers to six for each of the President, the Prime Minister and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, and sets conditions that prevent the appointment of friends, relatives and others who do not have sufficient experience for this position and exempts those appointed from them.
