On Sunday, the Parliamentary Oil, Gas and Natural Resources Committee voted to elect Representative Haibat al-Halbousi as chairman.
The parliament's media department said in a statement, "In the presence of the Presidency of the House of Representatives, Representative Haibat al-Halbousi was elected as head of the committee."
The statement added, "Nehru Mahmoud Qadir was also elected as the first deputy, and Adnan Al-Jabri as the second deputy."
