    Today, Monday, the Board of Directors of the Grain Trading Company announced the unanimous approval of establishing a silo in Wasit Governorate, with a storage capacity of 100,000 tons.
    And the Trade Media stated in a statement received by (Baghdad Today), that “the Board of Directors of the General Company for Grain Trade in the Ministry of Commerce approved a number of issues that were included in its first regular session of the current year , the most important of which is the unanimous approval of the establishment of a silo in Wasit Governorate with a storage capacity of one hundred thousand.” tons".

    The general manager and chairman of the board of directors of the company, Haider Nuri Al-Karawi, confirmed, according to the statement, that “this decision comes as part of a plan to enhance storage capacities in all governorates of the country to match the volume of the rising production quantities of the wheat crop, which is expected to reach five million tons in the coming years.” That "the council's approval was obtained after reviewing the study prepared by the engineering department to enhance storage capacities and benefit from the revenues of the percentage of administrative services that contribute in one way or another to securing the country's strategic storage."

    And Al-Karawi stated that "a number of topics that were included in the curriculum of the first session were discussed, foremost of which was the establishment of the Nimrud Silo in Nineveh Governorate, which was included by the Nineveh Governorate Council within the regional development projects plan for the year 2012," noting that "the Council approved the Adopting the name Silo (Rabrain) of its branch in Sulaymaniyah instead of the current name Silo (Ranieh), in addition to converting sixteen-ton trucks into dump trucks, which would contribute to increasing the efficiency of the transport fleet and speed in completing the work, in addition to saving sums of money in A number of locations where a tipper jack is not available.

    He pointed out that "the council also discussed a number of other axes, including setting up an appropriate mechanism for delivering spent oils to the Ministry of Industry and Minerals at the request of the aforementioned ministry, as well as providing a financial advance to the company's truck drivers in the amount of 3 million dinars.”
