Today, Monday, the Central Bank of Iraq published a picture showing the security signs in the Iraqi currency for various denominations, in conjunction with the spread of information about the existence of a wave of counterfeit 25,000 dinars that invaded the market.
And the central statement stated that, “In the interest of the page team to preserve citizens’ money and limit the spread of counterfeit currencies, the image below shows the security signs in Iraqi cash currencies, urging citizens to be careful and attentive when dealing with them.”
On the other hand, experts say that "there is no fundamental solution to the problem of counterfeit currencies other than switching to the electronic cash system as soon as possible."
