Today, Tuesday, the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Ali Al-Alaq, discussed with the Parliamentary Finance Committee the high exchange rates of the dollar in the country.
A parliamentary source told (Baghdad Today) that "Al-Alaq met the Parliamentary Finance Committee today, Tuesday, to discuss plans to address the high exchange rates of the dollar."
The Governor of the Central Bank, Ali Al-Alaq, had met, on Tuesday morning, with all banks to discuss the dollar crisis.
Since November 2022, the exchange rate of the US dollar against the Iraqi dinar has witnessed a gradual increase, reaching its highest levels in recent days, as it crossed the barrier of 167 thousand dinars per 100 dollars.
