Al-Sudani talks about "circumstances" that prevent his visit to Washington, and sends "Hussein" to discuss the dollar file

Shafaq News/ The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani hinted, on Tuesday, to "circumstances" that prevent him from visiting the United States of America, indicating that an Iraqi delegation will visit Washington in early February to discuss the dollar file.
Al-Sudani said in an interview with the state-owned Al-Iraqiya channel, which was followed by Shafaq News agency, that "a high-level delegation headed by Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein will visit Washington on February 7 to discuss more than one file, including fluctuations in dollar prices."
"There is still no intention of me visiting Washington," he added, noting that "my visit to Washington is subject to several circumstances."
And the Islamic Supreme Council, one of the forces of the coordination framework, revealed on Wednesday 1/25/2023 that an Iraqi delegation would soon visit the United States of America in order to discuss the high exchange rate of the dollar in Iraq.
The spokesman for the council, Ali al-Daffi, told Shafaq News agency, "A leading delegation from the Iraqi Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank of Iraq will visit the United States of America in the coming days in order to discuss the US Federal Reserve's policy and give an appropriate opportunity of time so that Iraqi banks can adapt and deal with the system." Al-Daffi stated, "The issue of fighting corruption, money laundering, and currency smuggling cannot be addressed with the stroke of a pen, but rather requires decisions and procedures," stressing, "We support fighting corruption and ending money laundering and currency smuggling from Iraq, but there must be a reasonable amount of time."
