    Today, Thursday, February 2, 2023, His Excellency the President of the Republic, Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, and his accompanying delegation.
    At the outset of the meeting, His Excellency the Minister conveyed to the President of the Republic the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and their wishes for the Iraqi people for further progress and prosperity, while His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs entrusted his greetings to the Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince The reign of His Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and the brotherly Saudi people have more prosperity and prosperity.
    The President affirmed the depth of relations between the two countries, and Iraq's keenness to strengthen cooperation frameworks at various levels, and to continue work, coordination and consultation on a number of regional and international issues of common concern, noting that Iraq and Saudi Arabia are Among the main pillars of stability in the region, especially in the delicate circumstances that it is going through. The countries of the world and the various challenges they face.
    President Abd al-Latif Jamal Rashid referred to the security stability experienced by Iraqi cities, especially during the last four years.
    The Foreign Minister expressed the Kingdom's support for Iraq's efforts to enhance its security and stability, pointing to the need to work towards consolidating bilateral relations and expanding cooperation and trade exchange between the two countries.
    He added, "What we hear about Iraq gives hope and the economic movement in Iraq is in our interest, as it moves the region's economy," stressing the need for cooperation between the two countries to achieve economic integration, especially since Iraq has a diversified economy that is sustainable.
    The Saudi foreign minister indicated that Iraq is capable of facing challenges, expressing readiness to cooperate and invest in associated gas.
    The meeting also reviewed the latest political developments in the region and the world, and emphasized the importance of addressing crises through dialogue and consultations in order to achieve security and peace for all people.
