The head of the Diyala Chamber of Commerce, Muhammad Mulla Jawad Al-Tamimi, revealed today, Thursday, an upcoming meeting with the Prime Minister this evening, in which 10 points will be presented, which will be a gateway to lowering the prices of the dollar and goods.
Al-Tamimi said in an interview with (Baghdad Today), that "we have an expected meeting with Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, accompanied by heads of the Chamber of Commerce in the provinces, in addition to economic and financial elites this evening."
He added, "The meeting is to discuss the dollar crisis directly and to stand on the visions of the chambers of commerce and the economic and financial elites in terms of the solutions proposed to strengthen the national economy," stressing that "10 urgent points will be raised in the meeting, the most prominent of which is granting traders liquidity from the dollar to settle the dues of internal exchange and addressing the bureaucracy of procedures in Border crossings and the adoption of the single-window principle in completing customs clearance transactions and facilitating the import of basic materials for the markets.
He pointed out, "We are optimistic that the meeting will contribute to the development of objective treatments for the 10 points, because they will be a gateway to creating flexibility in the flow of goods, reducing prices, and overcoming the dollar exchange rate crisis during the coming period."
