    Baghdad today - Baghdad
Today, Friday, the Victory Coalition directly identified the cause of the dollar crisis in Iraq, while noting that the country is still under Chapter VII.
The leader of the victory coalition, Aqil al-Rudaini, said in an interview with (Baghdad Today), that “the position of his coalition was clear and consistent in refusing to raise the exchange rate of the dollar against the Iraqi dinar at the time of the Al-Kazemi government, because he is aware of its negative repercussions, and what happened after that shows the credibility of our expectations.
He added, "The Sudanese government is obligated to contain the dollar crisis and not push it up in the markets," pointing out that "the direct cause of the recent dollar crisis is smuggling, and this matter is not disputed by two."
He pointed out that "Washington has control over the dollar, and Iraq is still suffering from its survival under Chapter VII, so the US federal imposed conditions on the state in order to stop smuggling by adopting a specific platform for the foreign movement of the dollar .”
And he considered that "the government must find internal solutions to the dollar crisis and not rely on Washington in this direction through a real treatment of the smuggling file, because it will lead the markets to severe harm that will be reflected on millions of Iraqis, and that the political forces prefer the national interest in supporting the economy, because otherwise we will be facing great pitfalls. If the dollar crisis continues to rise.
