Al-Ghurairy said in a statement to the official agency, followed by "NAS", (February 4, 2023), "We are launching the major campaign to pump table eggs, milk, chicken and flour into the markets, according to the directives of the Prime Minister, and in the coming weeks, larger quantities will be pumped with the aim of creating balance in the market." Diversity of resources of the finest quality.

He added, "The campaign included the launch of more than one truck loaded with tens of thousands of tons as a start," stressing that "the stores are full, and entry into the market will be according to price indices, with the aim of supporting the private sector, not competing with it."

He pointed out that "these materials are subsidized with the aim of creating balance in the market, and they differ from the ration card or the food basket, which represents the state's continuous support at symbolic prices that reach limited rates and quantities."

Regarding the electronic card, he indicated that "the ministry started with the electronic card in the holy city of Najaf, and within a few weeks the issue will be resolved by generalizing the experiment to all governorates, which is a real shift in the manner of services provided to the citizen through the electronic card."

Regarding accession to the World Trade Organization, Al-Ghurairy said: "Iraq is currently an observer member, and a team has been formed to conduct discussions regarding accession," stressing that "meetings are continuing with specialized committees."

And the Minister of Commerce, Atheer Al-Ghurairy, announced earlier that convoys loaded with foodstuffs would be launched to the marketing outlets.

Al-Ghurairy said in a press conference, "A large number of trucks and convoys loaded with materials for table eggs, milk, chicken and flour set out to their marketing outlets in Baghdad and the provinces for sale at lower prices than the local market," pointing out that "the ministry will provide in the next few days meat, fish and other items at reasonable prices." discounted"
