The Ministry of Interior, since it was formed with the new national standards, has been keen to build a different personality for Iraqi women in the formation of the Ministry of Interior. Among the most important of these standards is assuming the national and historical responsibility in defending the country and protecting public national security alongside its officer brother and affiliate in the formations of this ministry.
A few days ago, I met key staff members of female affiliates at different levels and ranks in the Ministry, and I listened to points of view that affirmed in their entirety the great role played by Iraqi women in the Ministry of the Interior. Community police control security and contribute to the stability of social life in the country.
In the first annual conference held by the Women’s Empowerment Section in the Ministry of the Interior in cooperation with the Department of Relations and Information and the Legal Department, in the presence of the ministry’s leaders and a number of officers and women working for this national ministry, we affirmed that security is a joint responsibility whose pillars are equal for men and women. The security and political experience in the country has confirmed the competence of women in However, at this stage, we rely a lot on its qualitative and strategic work to take further limits in development and growth and keep pace with the movement of security and service progress in the Ministry, as we are witnessing the development of its various police directions and specializations in this period.
In this conference, we affirmed and stressed at the same time that the successes of women in the Ministry of Interior depend on the implementation of the orders, directives and responsibilities entrusted to them in order to bring about a radical change in the qualitative work that we hope will take its way in strengthening and devotion in order to turn into a system of work and a management approach that achieves the hopes and aspirations entrusted to it. While we insist on implementing explicit orders in the Ministry of the Interior to achieve the essential goals in the security issue, we will work for our part to provide all the requirements for the success of women’s work in the Ministry and support them in achieving their goals by reaching the degrees we wish for in administrative and security responsibilities.
In our current era, we look forward to women in the Ministry of the Interior assuming great administrative and security responsibilities and not being satisfied with the administrative fields in the ministry. Women in the interior formations have received intensive training in various fields and have received the highest degrees and honors, as past and current experience indicates the strength of the command and the determination to implement the goals in order to achieve The societal aspirations that we are witnessing against the backdrop of the presence of Iraqi women in the Ministry of Interior, therefore I would like to confirm that our Iraqi women working in the formations of the Ministry will assume responsibilities that go beyond the administrative aspects to the leadership aspects, which is what we aspire to.
The experience of the community police has confirmed that this woman is capable of managing major responsibilities within the framework of controlling the rhythm of social life and solving the various problems that large groups of our people suffer from. This experience (community police) will remain a milestone in the formations of the Ministry of Interior. security to develop and enable it.
And because we appreciate, respect and value the great role that Iraqi women play in the Ministry of Interior, we will not allow anyone to practice any kind of extortion of female workers in it, because women in the Ministry are a fundamental number in the security equation, and because they deserve, with their various skills and what they have learned over the past years, to lead any department or directorate. I address her from my position as a brother, father, and responsible minister, that she be strong in facing challenges and able to carry out her work and the tasks and duties that she performs, since women are no less competent and competent in carrying out the responsibilities and tasks than their male brothers.
