    Baghdad today - Kurdistan
Today, Monday, a member of the New Generation Movement, Rebwar Chalabi, called on Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudanese to include Kurdistan in the procedures of the stolen money recovery campaign.
Chalabi told (Baghdad Today) that "corruption in the Kurdistan region has gone through dangerous stages," noting that "there is no follow-up, judicial or parliamentary oversight of what is happening in the region."
He added, "The Iraqi government must include the region in a campaign to recover stolen and smuggled funds and stop the chaos and theft at the border crossings and the oil smuggling file."
The Kurdistan region witnesses a high rate of corruption in the region, especially with regard to the oil sector and its revenues, as well as border crossings and all joints of government institutions.
