    Today, Wednesday, the Parliamentary Legal Committee confirmed its support for increasing the salaries of retirees and addressing the conditions of former army personnel.
    And the media department of Parliament stated in a statement received by (Baghdad Today), that "the legal committee headed by Representative Rebwar Hadi, head of the committee, and in the presence of a number of its members, hosted today representatives of the retirees segment."
    She added, "During the meeting, the committee listened to the requests and suffering of a group of retirees, including increasing the salaries of retirees, addressing the situation of 50,000 former army personnel, and a number of civil servants who did not complete 15 years in the job, in addition to a number of other demands."
     For its part, the committee affirmed, according to the statement, its support for the legitimate demands of the retirees, noting that the legal committee will work in coordination with the relevant parliamentary committees to find legal solutions to them.
