    Prime Minister Mohamed Shia Al-Sudani chaired a meeting devoted to discussing the integration of government databases, in the presence of the Minister of Communications and a number of specialists in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, the Ministries of Interior, Finance, Trade, Planning, Labor, Health and Communications, and the Elections Commission.

    A statement by Al-Sudani's office, a copy of which "NAS" received, stated (February 8, 2023), "During the meeting, Al-Sudani stressed the importance of data security, and taking measures to protect government databases."  
      
    Al-Sudani also pointed out that "the information bases in different government agencies can be of great value, especially with their integration, and they will be useful in auditing and improving targeting, and the need for there to be one main structure for the national database, then enabling each agency to view what She is allowed."  
      
    The Prime Minister urged "towards crystallizing a modern methodology for managing data according to distinguished international models, in a way that achieves data security and integrity, in order to simplify procedures, reduce costs and combat corruption."  
      
    Al-Sudani directed "to continue holding meetings, to find a window for communication and integration, to present proposals and plans to overcome delays, and to address obstacles, which will be reflected in developing performance and improving services provided to citizens."
