    Parliament adjourned, Thursday noon, a regular session that included reading a number of bills.

    Results of the session:

    Finishing the first reading of the first amendment bill to the draft law supporting small income-generating projects.

    Ending the first reading of the draft law ratifying the investment promotion and protection agreement between the government of the Republic of Iraq and the government of the United Arab Emirates.

    Ending the first reading of the draft law ratifying the agreement on avoidance of double taxation and exchange of information with regard to taxes on income and capital between the government of the Republic of Iraq and the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the protocol attached thereto.

    The end of the first reading of the draft law on the accession of the Republic of Iraq to the international agreement related to intervention on the high seas in the event of accidents causing oil pollution for the year 1969 and the protocol related to intervention on the high seas in cases of pollution with materials other than oil for the year 1973. The first reading of the draft law on ratification of the avoidance of double taxation agreement has been completed

    . and to prevent the evasion of taxes imposed on income and capital between the Government of the Republic of Iraq and the Government of the Republic of Turkey.

    Ending the first reading of the draft law ratifying the Arab Protocol to Prevent and Combat Maritime Piracy and Armed Robbery supplementary to the Arab Convention on Combating Transnational Organized Crime.

    Ending the first reading of the draft law on the accession of the Republic of Iraq to the agreement establishing the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for the year 1990.

    Ending the first reading of the draft law ratifying the cooperation agreement between the government of the Republic of Iraq and the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the field of maritime transport.
