    Adviser to the Prime Minister for Human Rights Affairs, Zaidan Khalaf Obaid, confirmed today, Sunday, that government efforts focused on combating corruption and recovering looted funds, in what he considered "more dangerous than terrorism."


    Obaid said during a press conference to combat violent extremism, which was attended by Alsumaria correspondent, that "violent extremism does not include terrorism, but rather includes some acts and actions, including those related to extracting confessions and torture," pointing out that "the prime minister is required to open extensive investigations of such events to take action legal issue.”






    He added, "We received more than a thousand complaints from the Public Prosecutor to the Human Rights Committee in this regard," noting that "government efforts focused on combating corruption and recovering looted funds, which are more dangerous than terrorism."
