    {Local: Al Furat News} Today, Sunday, the Ministry of Planning discussed the national priorities for preparing a human capital policy in Iraq.
    Planning media stated in a statement received by {Euphrates News}, that "this came during a workshop held by the ministry in cooperation with the World Bank, and the Director General of the Department of Human Development in the Ministry of Planning, Maha Abdul Karim Al-Rawi, indicated that the issue of human capital is of great importance in Iraq. Especially since the upcoming national development plan and the ministry's strategic plan refer in most of its main axes to the issue of strengthening it to be a tool for the real development wheel.
     She added, "This file is one of our national priorities, and we are working with great care and seriousness in order to prepare it and benefit from Iraq entering the stage of the demographic gift," stressing that "investing in human capital will achieve development for the reality of the sectors concerned and build job opportunities, in addition to increasing productivity and improving public services." As well as improving the value of the human capital index in Iraq. 
    For her part, the Head of Programs at the World Bank for Human Development in the Middle East and North Africa, Dr. Dina Abu Ghaida, said that human capital requires a lot of cooperation and coordination with the various ministries and sectors in order to reach its outputs, calling on all partners to work to carry out the necessary reforms to improve the returns of development. humanity in Iraq.
    The workshop included several presentations by representatives of the World Bank, including a discussion of reviewing the human capital analysis (harnessing the demographic dividend for Iraq), in addition to discussing equal opportunities for its development for all Iraqis.
