Representatives: The results of the dialogues with the region will speed up sending the budget to Parliament

Representatives believe that the results of the dialogues between the federal government and the Kurdistan region will speed up sending the budget to the House of Representatives after agreeing on its controversial paragraphs related to quotas, stressing that its passage will not take long.
The representative of the Kurdistan Democratic Party bloc, Mahma Khalil, said, "The discussions of the delegation of the regional government, which is in Baghdad, are going in the right direction, and it has held several meetings with the federal government and political leaders, and all its discussions were positive and continued for the benefit of both parties."
Khalil added, "The discussions are about to reach an agreement between the federal government and the regional government, which will be officially announced soon."
He pointed out that “the results of the agreements will accelerate the sending of the budget to the House of Representatives,” stressing that “passing it will not face any difficulty, especially with the success of the recent dialogues.”
Khalil added, "The Kurdistan region wants to guarantee its rights in the budget law in accordance with the constitutional contexts and will not stand in the way of any disagreement with the political blocs in Baghdad."
In addition, the representative of the State of Law Coalition, Aref Al-Hamami, stated that "the coordination framework is committed to all agreements that were concluded during the formation of the government and the declaration of the state administration alliance that brings us together with the Kurdistan Democratic Party."
And he believes that “resolving differences is through dialogue while adhering to the constitutional frameworks,” stressing that “things are proceeding in the right direction and towards the implementation of all promises that were previously made.”
Al-Hamami does not expect, “The budget law will be delayed more than that time, especially with the positive results brought by the Kurdish delegation’s recent visit to Baghdad.”
For his part, the representative of the Watan Alliance, Nazem Al-Shibli, stated that “the State Administration Coalition, when it was formed, agreed on a number of political, security, economic and service files, including the agreement on the distribution of funds in the Federal Budget Law for the fiscal year 2023.”
Al-Shibli added, "The specialized committees have completed their tasks, and there is also positive progress regarding the region's share in the budget, as well as the issue of oil and gas, through the positive signs of the discussions of the Kurdish delegation currently in Baghdad."
And he expected the approval of the “budget at the end of this month,” stressing that “if these agreements are adhered to, this will make it easier for the government of Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani to complete the draft budget law early and send it to parliament for approval.”
Al-Shibli concluded, "Parliament will not delay in approving the law, and will work to study it through its constitutional competence and in a way that serves the public interest."
A spokesman for the Kurdistan Regional Government, Jutiar Adel, said earlier, "The delegation of the Kurdistan Regional Government held three important meetings, the first of which was with the Federal Ministry of Oil, in which the main principles regarding oil and gas law were discussed."
Adel added, "The delegation of the Kurdistan Regional Government held a meeting with the concerned authorities to formulate the final points regarding the Iraqi federal budget for the year 2023."
He pointed out, "The delegation visited the Federal Border Crossings Authority to discuss raising the level of coordination between the two sides regarding customs tariffs and enhancing cooperation between the two sides."
And Adel went on to say that “the meetings achieved good results, but once again we are still waiting for the points of disagreement now, with the aim of discussing them and reaching a common understanding on them.”
