    BAGHDAD / NINA / Speaker of the Parliament Salim al-Jubouri said on Thursday, “We completed the formation of the government and we are working on the restructuring of the security services and limit the arms in the hand of the state, while US Secretary of State John Kerry, asserted his country’s keenness on supporting Iraq in the areas of training, arming and humanitarian aid.

    A statement by the Office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, “said that al-Jubouri, received in his office in Baghdad the American Secretary of State, John Kerry, and appreciated during the interview, the positive role played by the United States and the international community in support of the democratic process in Iraq, stressing that” we look forward to more support and backing, especially in security and displaced persons fields.

    al-Jubouri said, “we achieved the formation of the government in the light of a clear political program and we will work now on the restructuring of the security services and the military through the necessary legislation and to ensure that the arms in the hands of State exclusively,” calling on the United States that “the military operations carried out by the US Air Force target the terrorists exclusively and avoid targeting innocent civilians, stressing that the fight against terrorism is needed, but the to maintain the lives of civilians remain a priority.

    For his part, John Kerry congratulated al-Jubouri, on the occasion of the formation of the new government, praising the great role played by the presidency of the parliament in its success, and expressed his country’s keenness on supporting Iraq in the areas of training, arming and humanitarian aid, pointing out that “the Iraqi people will succeed, and that the first steps to success starts from Parliament.
