    Today, Saturday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani assured US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken that the Iraqi government is seeking balanced relations to stabilize stability in the region.

    Al-Sudani's office said, in a statement received by "Tigris", that "Prime Minister Mohamed Shiaa Al-Sudani received at his residence, this morning, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, on the sidelines of his participation in the Munich Security Conference at its 59th session," pointing to That "the meeting witnessed discussions on the files of bilateral relations, and ways to strengthen and develop them at various levels and fields, in a way that enhances Iraq's ability to face economic challenges and development requirements."

    Al-Sudani stressed, according to the statement: "Iraq's giving special priority to economic reforms, the government's focus on developing the energy sector, and the establishment of development and investment partnerships in the gas sector."

    He explained, "Iraq's desire to consolidate cooperation with the United States to combat terrorism, within the framework of providing training, advice and information exchange for Iraqi security forces, in a way that preserves Iraq's sovereignty and independence," stressing that "the government puts the goal of establishing balanced relations at the forefront, in addition to the importance of the Iraqi role in stabilizing stability in the region.

    For his part, Blinken praised "the Iraqi government plans for reform and development, and for giving the energy sector a priority in work and development."

    He affirmed "the US government's appreciation of Iraq's regional role in stabilizing," reiterating support for "the Iraqi government in its progressive, reform and development plans in various fields and fields."
