His Excellency the President of the Republic, Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received today, Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at the Baghdad Palace, the Lebanese Minister of Labor, Mr. Mustafa Hussein Bayram, and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, His Excellency the President talked about the depth of relations between the two brotherly countries and the emphasis on the need to upgrade them to include the economic, commercial and cultural fields, as His Excellency made it clear that Iraq stands by Lebanon, expressing confidence in the ability of the Lebanese to overcome the current stage.
The President stressed the importance of expanding the horizons of cooperation between Iraq and Lebanon through the exchange of visits and experiences, especially in the fields of work, social protection and vocational training, given the importance of this in supplying the labor markets with specialists.
In turn, Minister Bayram affirmed that the relationship between Lebanon and Iraq, government and people, is a relationship that developed through communication and was confirmed by difficult circumstances. He also expressed hope that it would be strengthened to facilitate work procedures for the Lebanese in Iraq and for the Iraqis in Lebanon, noting that Iraq was and still is supportive, supportive, and in solidarity with Lebanon's legitimate causes, wishing the continuity of Brotherhood relations and bilateral cooperation.
