The Oil, Gas and Natural Resources Committee said that the oil and gas law is still in the Council of Ministers and has not yet been sent to parliament.
“The oil and gas law is still in the Council of Ministers and has not yet been sent to parliament in order to proceed with its legislation during this session, and there is a real vision to pass the law through the political blocs,” said committee head Heibet al-Halbousi, in a statement to the official newspaper.
He added, “Disputes over the law have existed since 2007 until now, and the committee called on the ministry to send the law to Parliament.”
Regarding investments, Al-Halbousi explained that “the Ministry of Oil seeks to publicize the reality of existing investments and oil and gas patches inside the country.”
