A member of the Parliamentary Regions Committee, MP Muhammad Al-Shammari, revealed, on Tuesday, that most of the heads of political blocs will adopt the “modified St. Lego” system during the upcoming local elections.
Al-Shammari said in a press statement, "Most of the political forces support the adoption of the amended St. Lego system, but the draft law that was read as a first reading will make some amendments through discussions and dialogues inside the dome of Parliament."
He added that "reading the draft amendment to the Provincial Councils Law as a first reading is the starting point for the initiation of approving the law," noting that "most of the heads of political blocs are with the amended St. Lego system."
