The Federal Integrity Commission reported, on Wednesday, the arrest of 10 accused of trespassing on state real estate and public money, and in the act of bribery in the labor, social and municipal affairs departments and the housing fund in Dhi Qar Governorate.
According to a statement received by Mawazine News, the Commission's Investigation Department said, "The work team of the Dhi Qar Investigation Office, which moved to the Nasiriyah Municipality Directorate, was able to seize 7 employees in the directorate, on the grounds of a shortage of the supplied kerosene," indicating that " The defendants are responsible for a shortage estimated at (39,000) thousand liters of kerosene, followed by members of the Fuel Inspection and Receipt Committee.
The department added, "The team was able to apprehend two employees of the Housing Fund and the Dhi Qar Electricity Distribution Directorate red-handed while receiving a bribe from a citizen, in exchange for completing the loan transaction granted to him by the Housing Fund Department."
And she explained, “The team seized an accused of trespassing on a property registered in the name of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs / Federal Labor Department in the governorate,” pointing out that “the accused exploited the property as a parking garage and collected money from the owners of the wheels without a legal basis,” noting that “the accused had This is done in agreement with the Director of Labor and Social Affairs Departments in Dhi Qar.
