Earth News / The Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, chaired today, Wednesday, an important meeting on lifting control inside Baghdad.
The Ministry of the Interior said in a statement received by Earth News, "To discuss the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, the Minister of Interior, Abd al-Amir al-Shammari, chaired today a meeting that included the commander of Baghdad operations, the commanders of the Rusafa and Karkh police, the directors of the intelligence agencies, and the director of control affairs and external roads regarding alleviating the burden on citizens and lifting Controls inside the capital, Baghdad.
The minister stressed, "the necessity of working according to the plans drawn up in strengthening the accurate intelligence effort, and raising capabilities in line with the next stage, while ensuring the security and stability of the capital, Baghdad," reiterating "on finding the best ways to ensure smooth street movement by lifting controls and strengthening the presence of traffic personnel."
