    Shafaq News / The State of Law parliamentary bloc announced today, Thursday, that there is an agreement within the State Administration Coalition to proceed with the second reading of the provincial elections law, indicating that the law is prepared to create large blocs within these councils.



    "The third amendment to the provincial and district council elections law was in agreement with the heads of political blocs," said the representative of the State of Law, Muhammad al-Shammari, to Shafaq News agency, indicating that the law was prepared according to the political vision to create large blocs within the provincial councils.
    Al-Shammari added, "There is an agreement within the State Administration Coalition to proceed with the second reading and vote on the provincial elections law."
    Al-Shammari continued, "The political blocs agree on the articles of the law, and that the Parliamentary Legal Committee is the one who prepares the drafting or amendment of a legal article or paragraph in the election law," stressing that "the provincial and district council elections will take place on the specified date on October 23, 2023."
