    A government source said today, Saturday, that an advisor to Prime Minister Mohamed Shia Al-Sudani has been appointed for election affairs.
    The source told "Baghdad Today" that "the former member of the Board of Commissioners, Motamed al-Moussawi, was assigned as an advisor to Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani for election affairs."
    The government program for the Sudanese included amending the election law within 3 months, and holding early elections within one year.
    Al-Sudani had confirmed in previous statements that the government was ready to hold early elections if the parliament and political forces so decided.
    And the leader of the State of Law coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, had said that if the need arises, there is no objection to holding elections in the event that continuing with the current electoral results does not work, but so far we have not reached this stage and we believe that the electoral results and the consequent formation of the (current) government And what you made possible to continue until the end of the parliamentary session
