The President of the Kurdistan Region receives an official invitation to visit the UAE

Shafaq News/ Today, Sunday, the President of Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, received an official invitation to visit the United Arab Emirates.
And the region's presidency stated in a statement today that President Nechirvan Barzani met today with the Consul General of the United Arab Emirates, Ahmed Ibrahim Saeed Al Dhaheri.
The statement added that the two sides stressed during the meeting the strengthening of relations between Iraq and the Kurdistan Region with the United Arab Emirates and the expansion of cooperation between them, and they discussed the political and economic situation in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region and the relations of Erbil in Baghdad.
Al-Dhaheri delivered an official invitation to Nechirvan Barzani to visit the UAE, which was addressed to him by the President of the United Arab Emirates, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
In the invitation, Al Nahyan expressed his greetings and appreciation to President Nechirvan Barzani, stressing that his country attached importance to relations with the Kurdistan Region, keenness on cooperation in various fields between the two sides, and to exchange ideas about common interests between the two sides. Al Nahyan looks forward to receiving the President of the region in the UAE.
In turn, President Nechirvan Barzani, in addition to sending greetings and respect to President Al Nahyan, gladly accepted his invitation to visit the United Arab Emirates and spoke about the importance of the UAE's relationship with Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
The issue of the budget and the oil and gas law between the Kurdistan Regional Government and the Iraqi federal government, the situation in Sinjar, and the latest developments in the region in general were another focus of the meeting, according to the statement.
