Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) -The Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Osama al-Nijaifi, discussed with the Serbian Ambassador to Iraq, the expected visit of the Serbian parliament’s Speaker to Iraq and the conclusion of the Memorandum of Understanding between both countries’ parliaments.
A statement by Nijaifi’s office reported on Monday “Nijaifi received at his office in Baghdad, the Ambassador of Serbia to Iraq, Radisav Petrovaj. The two sides discussed upgrading the Iraqi-Serbian bilateral relations ”
“At the outset of the meeting, the Serbian Ambassador explained what the Serbian parliament did concerning the Serbian Friendship Group Commission with Iraq that had been formed in deference to the strong ties between Iraq and Serbia,” the statement concluded.
