    Baghdad today - Baghdad
Former MP Mishaan al-Jubouri hinted, on Sunday, of the ability of "opposing voices" to the Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, to remove him from office.
In a tweet, Al-Jubouri referred to Al-Halbousi, saying: "He is shielding himself from a legal article of the Penal Code of 1969 related to insulting the authorities, believing that he will be able to silence the voices opposing his approach that will not calm down and will not stop saying and deed before his removal."
The representative of the Parliament Speaker, Muhammad al-Halbousi, filed a lawsuit against Mishaan al-Jubouri for "attacking" the Speaker of Parliament.
The case was officially registered with the Third Karkh Investigation Court, accusing Al-Jubouri of committing a "defamation crime" through a media outlet.
