Today, Monday, the government spokesman, Basem Al-Awadi, revealed the scenes of preparing the budget and the date for its completion, indicating that the end of the month will be the maximum limit for completing its figures and submitting them to the Council of Ministers.
Al-Awadi said in an interview with "Baghdad Today", in response to information about submitting the budget tomorrow to the Council of Ministers, that this information is incorrect, noting that "the prime minister wants the budget and its paragraphs to be close to the government program, that is, it must include five important paragraphs, which are Fighting poverty and unemployment, fighting corruption, the importance of services and developing the economy.
He added, "After changing the exchange rate of the dollar to 130,000, the prime minister returned the budget to the Ministry of Finance in order to reorganize the numbers and change them again," noting that "until the end of this month, the time will be sufficient to change these numbers, and then they will be submitted to the Council of Ministers for approval and sending them to Parliament." ".
On the preliminary figures for the budget, he indicated that the price of a barrel of oil will be calculated at 65 dollars a barrel, and the size of the budget will be more than 150 trillion Iraqi dinars.
And local media had circulated news that the Council of Ministers will approve the budget tomorrow during its session.
