The President of the Republic, Dr. Abd al-Latif Jamal Rashid, stressed the importance of establishing peaceful coexistence, protecting the rights of minorities from all components, and including this in the school curricula.
This came during his reception, at the Baghdad Palace, of the delegation of Ufuq Organization for Human Development, where the President of the Republic indicated that Iraq is everyone's country and includes authentic components and has an honorable history in preserving the national identity, stressing that everyone is equal in terms of citizenship, rights and duties.
The President of the Republic added that Iraq had previously suffered security, politically and socially, as well as ISIS terrorism, and efforts are being made now to overcome its social and psychological effects and create an appropriate environment in which Iraqis achieve their aspirations, as he indicated that the government is serious about resolving issues and issues and protecting the rights of minorities in accordance with the law and the constitution.
The President of the Republic pointed out that the government has drawn up an ambitious program aimed at consolidating the security and stability that Iraq enjoys today, rehabilitating the infrastructure, building hospitals, schools, places of worship and other projects.
The members of the delegation expressed their aspiration to establish the rules of social peace through awareness of community management and true coexistence with everyone preserving their privacy.
The delegation also affirmed its keenness to consolidate the cultural identity, appreciating the interest and support of the President of the Republic in the issue of Iraqi minorities, and expressing its desire for the President of the Republic to adopt their ideas as the father of all Iraqis.
