    The Ministry of Health announced, on Thursday, the conclusion of a memorandum of understanding with the leading Swiss company "F Hoffmann-La Roche Limited", stressing its importance to developing health services in the country and enabling patients to obtain "innovative" health care of high quality.
    The ministry said in a statement, "Minister Saleh Mahdi Al-Hasnawi attended the signing ceremony, along with the company's director in Iraq, Dr. Ayman Haj Ibrahim, Dr. Muhammad Tarfa, who is responsible for developing medical policies in (Roche), and Dr. Ali Jamal, representative of the company's agent in Iraq (Al-Wahaj Al-Alamy Office). And a representative of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Ahmed Sami, Director General of (Kimadia), noting that "this event is an occasion for the two sides to affirm their continuous efforts to develop the Iraqi health sector and to pay attention to the various medical personnel to serve the Iraqi patient throughout the country."
    And she indicated, "This memorandum of understanding reflects its belief in the importance of partnership with active institutions and companies in the health care sector to reach the most important goal of improving the experience of Iraqi citizens in the field of health services," explaining that "this memorandum is only an important station for a cooperation program through which it will be committed." Both (Roche) and the Iraqi Ministry of Health are taking effective steps to enable patients to obtain integrated and innovative health care as well.
    She explained, "The agreement includes the necessary steps to support the Ministry, enhance the capabilities of the value-based health decision-making process, support the digital transformation process, in addition to taking the necessary steps to improve the quality of medical research, assist in early detection of patients, and improve public awareness."
    She pointed out that "this partnership provides for the two parties to work hand in hand to enhance the value provided to patients, especially for patients with cancer, blood diseases, hemophilia, multiple sclerosis and rare diseases."
    For his part, the Minister of Health, Dr. Saleh Al-Hasnawi, expressed, according to the statement, his "happiness in the continuous work with various companies and institutions to achieve the ministry's vision in the field of health care throughout the country."
    As for the representative of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Ahmed Sami, Director General of (Kimadia), he stressed, "Given that the health care sector is one of the most vital sectors in Iraq, we are working diligently to ensure that citizens have access to the best health services, as we seek through our programs and initiatives to provide Achieving positive results motivates us to achieve more.”
    In turn, the Director of Roche in Iraq, Dr. Ayman Haj Ibrahim, highlighted the company's continuous endeavors to employ its capabilities and capabilities to support the efforts of the Ministry of Health to advance the health sector in Iraq, saying that "the main element in enabling us to achieve our vision aimed at enhancing health care services in Iraq It is represented in the belief of our partners in us," noting that "this strategic partnership with the Iraqi Ministry of Health means that both sides are on the right track and that the ambitious vision in the field of health care in Iraq can be achieved by concerted efforts and strengthening the partnership between the public and private sectors."
