     Information / Baghdad..
More than a year has passed since the formation of the House of Representatives in its fifth session, but it is still below the required level, as it was unable to legislate important laws that touch the life of the citizen who is still waiting for what his representatives in the Legislative Council will present to him, at a time when some representatives justified that The reasons for the weakness of the agenda, especially in the current period, are due to the inability of the parliament to legislate laws with a financial aspect, as the budget is still with the government and has not yet decided to hand it over to the parliament to be legislated.
Independent MP Raed Al-Maliki told Al-Maalouma, "The past period did not witness the introduction of important laws on the parliament's agenda due to the delay in resolving the presidencies of parliamentary committees, in addition to the fact that the parliament is linked to the government, which in turn sends laws to it in order to include them in the agenda. business, reading and voting on them, in addition to the fact that the parliament cannot, at the present time, vote on laws that have a financial aspect due to the lack of budget legislation.
On the other hand, the representative of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Ali Turki, criticized during his speech to Al-Maalouma, the performance of the Parliament Presidency and the heads of the committees, by neglecting to define laws that touch the life of the citizen since the start of the first session of the current session until now, pointing out that "the draft laws that were included during the duration of the current parliament is one of the secondary laws that have nothing to do with society at a time when the Al-Fatah bloc is working to exert pressure on the presidency of Parliament and the heads of parliamentary committees with the aim of prioritizing important laws such as amending the pension and social security law and other laws of public interest.
On the other hand, a member of the Parliamentary Legal Committee, Ahmed Fawaz, stated in an interview followed by Al-Maalouma, that “the laws that will be enacted this year after the approval of the budget law are the civil service law, the retirement law, and the law of the second amendment to the House of Representatives and provincial councils, in addition to the laws that It was agreed upon in the State Administration Coalition as the general amnesty law, and other laws affecting segments of Iraqi society. ended 25 n
