On Thursday, the Minister of Agriculture and Water Resources in the Kurdistan Region, Bekard Talabani, announced the approval of the federal government to construct 4 dams in the region.
"The ministry presented a plan to construct several dams in the region through the federal Ministry of Planning, Agriculture and Water Resources," Talabani said in a press conference.
He added, "The implementation of 4 dams has been approved, and it is awaiting the approval of the general budget in preparation for the start of its implementation in the region."
