{Economic: Al Furat News} The Ministry of Interior commented on accusing travel and tourism companies of defrauding the dollar exchange rate.
The ministry's spokesman, Khaled Al-Mahna, told {Euphrates News} agency: "There has been no notification so far regarding the charge of {defrauding} against tourism companies regarding the exchange of dollars."
He stressed, "The Ministry of Interior targets and follows up on any case that violates the law and combats it, and the ministry deals with any act outside the law."
It is noteworthy that well-informed sources state that travel and tourism companies "send people abroad with the title of tourist trips and for free, in exchange for buying dollars from their funds from airport outlets that sell dollars at the official price to sell them later on the black market and benefit from the difference in the two prices."
