The Parliamentary Education Committee considered the approval of the Ministry of Education to introduce a group of private companies, to develop curricula in the English language for public schools in the country, as a legal violation, while the ministry confirmed that the approvals granted

Committee member Zaytoun Al-Dulaimi said in an interview with “Al-Sabah”: The committee is following up the reason for granting the approval of the (Al-Bushra) group of companies for education and international science, to develop curricula for government schools in English, for mathematics, computer and science subjects, in addition to the English language, which was done for free. This is in violation of educational laws, since the curricula of these schools are purely governmental, which requires the approval of higher authorities such as the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers and others.
She added that the work of these companies and the approvals granted and their purpose are being monitored and a report will be prepared in this regard, questioning the work of this company because the Ministry of Education did not pay any financial costs for its work in public schools according to the book for granting approvals to it.
For his part, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Education, Karim Al-Sayed, stated in a statement to “Al-Sabah”: that the ministry has coordinated with the (Al-Bushra) group for education and international sciences to develop the educational process in the country, especially since the updated curricula are not new, and their teaching will not be imposed on students, but will be optional enrichment. And within public schools, noting that his ministry will not bear any costs, while it will bear
provinces it.
He emphasized that the ministry's role is supervisory, in addition to examining the curricula and other educational materials prepared by this company for schools, noting that Basra Education has begun implementing cooperation in its schools and the rest of the provinces will follow, stressing that the company is licensed by the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers and the approvals granted to it by the Ministry of Education are legal and its aim is to develop the educational reality. within
