    Shafaq News / Today, Wednesday, the advisor to the President of the Kurdistan Region counted, "The approval of the federal budget in the Council of Ministers is a "correct step" towards political and economic stability in the country, calling at the same time for the approval of the oil and gas law and the Federal Court.
    Dilshad Shihab, advisor to the President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, said on the sidelines of his participation in the Seventh Sulaymaniyah International Forum, "The approval of the federal budget with the agreement of all parties is the right step towards the political and economic stability of the country, and the presidency of the region is happy with this step."
    Shehab added, in an interview with Shafaq News agency, "We hope and aspire that a good decision will be taken regarding other laws, especially the oil and gas law, which is one of the important laws in the country, and we also hope that the country's bounties will be a point that brings us together instead of being a cause of our problems and division."
    And about the elections for the regional parliament, the advisor to the president of the region said, "Setting the date for holding the elections is a legal entitlement for the president of the region, and he has set a date for holding them."
    On the meetings of the Patriotic Union and the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Dilshad said, "The meetings are continuing between the two parties to prepare for holding the elections as scheduled."
    Regarding the decisions taken by the Federal Supreme Court against the region, Shehab stressed that "the region does not want to live in the past, but rather we want to live in the bright future, since the region, especially the two main parties, participated in the new Iraqi government within the coalition of state administration, and for the first time a charter and agreement on paper are signed between the parties." Noting that "according to that agreement, a new law for the Federal Court must be drafted in accordance with the constitution, provided that it is not objected to, so that the President of the Supreme Judicial Council is also agreed to draft a law for the court that is consistent with the Iraqi constitution."
    The advisor to the president of the region indicated that "the constitution confirms that the Federal Court must be formed according to a law that is voted upon by two-thirds of the members of the Council," noting that "as a result of pressure for the purpose of holding early elections in the year 2020, the court law has been amended, and this amendment may not continue for more, The agreement between the political parties states that a new law must be approved by the Federal Court as soon as possible.
