    Shafaq News/ The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources in the Kurdistan Regional Government announced today, Wednesday, the amount of gas required to supply electric power 24 hours a day in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, while an official in the Federal Ministry of Oil revealed the volume of crude oil that is repeated daily.
    Ahmed Al-Mufti said during his speech at the Seventh Sulaymaniyah International Forum that "Iraq and the region need (10 billion cubic feet) per day to supply the provinces of Iraq and the region with electric energy for a period of (24) hours."
    The Mufti added, "Iraq and the region produce only (2 billion cubic feet) of gas per day, and this percentage is not enough to meet the need, and for this we have a large deficit in the file of electric power production."
    For his part, the Undersecretary of the Federal Ministry of Oil for Distribution Affairs, Laith Abdul-Hussein Al-Shaher, said during his speech at the Seventh Sulaymaniyah International Forum that "Iraq can refine (800) thousand barrels per day of crude oil," stressing that "this refining of crude oil is an important matter for Iraq."
    Today, Wednesday morning, the work of the Seventh Sulaymaniyah Forum was launched, in the presence of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani, President of the Kurdistan Region Nechirvan Barzani, President of the Iraqi Supreme Judicial Council Judge Faiq Zaidan, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan Pavel Jalal Talabani, and the representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq as well. About Arab and international personalities, and the forum is scheduled to continue until tomorrow, Thursday, which has been held by the American University for 10 years.
